Alliance for Transatlantic Theological Training (AT3)

At-3 exists to enable an influx of trained leaders to strengthen, revitalize, and plant new churches.

There is currently a shortage of manpower to minister in the increasingly secular culture of the UK, where millions across the country are currently outside the reach of a gospel proclaiming church. A fresh influx of leaders with both formal theological training and practical experience is necessary to strengthen and extend the influence of the gospel and the growth of the church in the UK.

Emmanuel Community Church, Stockport, England

AT3’s pathway into ministry develops biblically shaped and culturally relevant leaders, equipped to engage the post-Christian & post-modern culture that is prevalent in the UK. Secular culture is also growing rapidly across North America. After completing the training programme, North American students can choose to stay in the UK to strengthen, plant, or revitalise churches, or can return home, ready to face this secularisation.

The continued relationship between students across the Atlantic will form avenues of communication, support and giving between the US & UK.

Biblical Counselling UK (BCU)

BCU is 1-3 year certificate programme that is offered in partnership with CCEF (The Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation) and supported by Oak Hill College.

The program itself entails a theoretical and practical introduction to the biblical counselling approach developed by CCEF. CCEF has been setting the pace in biblical counselling within the UK for over 40 years.

Those apart of the programme study modules from CCEF online in their own time and attend fortnightly seminars to review the course material together. These seminars and a week-long Summer Intensive add a skills component to the training.

Jenna will be receiving certification in Biblical Counselling within the two years she is ministering in the UK.

Emmanuel Community Church prides itself on their strong community with one another. No matter where a person is from, or what they believe; they are welcome at Emmanuel Community Church. ECC is passionate about creating relationships and showing the love of Christ in every aspect of their lives.

A typical Sunday involves communing with one another, worshipping through song and listening to biblically-sound sermons. After the service concludes, many people remain to chat over coffee or tea. The church is always engaged in sharing the truth of Christ with others and serving one another selflessly.

ECC holds Sunday services in a remodeled old cotton mill. They are located in Houldsworth Mill on Houldsworth Street in Reddish. Emmanuel Community Church also has a separate location on Green Lane in Heaton Moor, Stockport where they hold events and bible studies throughout the week.
